GAME 20 WOMEN AUSTRALIA vs INDIA Preamble Result (Teams mentioned in the order they batted):
As expected, this was a very one-sided game . . . but it must be said that it didn't all go the way of the Australians. The Indian girls were absolutely delighted to pick up 2 wickets from the Australians . . . and I just happened to be present for both, camera in hand. The first was a runout, and is probably my favourite photograph so far . . .
. . . and the second was clean bowled
Despite the huge difference in the score, the Indian girls showed non-stop enthusiasm and persistence, traits that will serve their development well in the future. We trust that all they learn over the course of this tournament will help them improve their game, and look forward to watching the remainder of their games. |
