A significant moment in Indian Indoor Cricket history: the Indian Women playing in the World Cup for the very first time. Playing the other newcomers to the World Cup, India showed that they too have a grounding in outdoor cricket, though they are not yet used to the differences inherent in the indoor version of the game.

This is most noticeable in their fielding, along with a few of the other finer points of the game like sliding the bat, keeping an eye on the batters during deliveries etc. However, they are particularly keen to learn, and this tournament will provide them with extremely valuable experience and exposure to the world's top players.
